First built in 1963 as a nine-hole course, this William Neff, signature golf course was redesigned to its current 18-holes in 1976. In 2003, #18 was redesigned by William Neff Jr., and has proven to be one of the classic finishing holes in Utah. In addition to providing professionally designed and well kept greens, Park City Golf Club's elevation of 6700 feet can actually add distance to your shots while you play on a course that is typically 10 to 15 degrees cooler than most courses in the area-a definite bonus during the hot summer months.
Soldier Hollow Golf Course opened July 1st 2004 and is the newest addition to the Wasatch Mountain State Park. The championship, 36-hole facility completes the year-round recreation programs at the 2002 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games venue. Two 18-hole courses appropriately named the Gold and Silver courses - offer challenging play for golfers of all abilities and amazing views of the Heber Valley and majestic Mount Timpanogos. Golfers and non-golfers alike will enjoy the beauty of the facilities, the new clubhouse with floor-to-ceiling windows and the onsite restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.Gene Bates Golf Design provided the unique layout, which boasts native Utah vegetation, one of the longest courses in the state and the originality of being the only golf course built on an Olympic venue. Mountain Cource: Spectacular Wasatch Mountain State Park boasts a challenging 18-hole Mountain Course, carved from natural mountain contours. In a golf cart (mandatory), there will be occasional sightings of roaming deer, elk, wild turkeys, moose and other wildlife. You'll reach vantage points overlooking the beautiful Heber Valley below. Named a Golf Digest "Best Place to Play" in 2004.
Lake Course: On gentler terrain, where surrounding mountains slope away to the valley floor, lies the 18-hole Lake Course. Its season-long pastoral beauty, with tree lined fairways and eight lakes and ponds, offers just the right setting to make the Lake Course a favorite for high, low and "no" handicappers.
The Mountain Dell Canyon course features 13 of the original 18 holes at Mountain Dell and five new holes rolling up the eastern canyon carved out of the natural oak brush and rose thickets. At an altitude of 6,000 feet, Mountain Dell is near exit 134 on Interstate 80, 12 miles east of Salt Lake City and 13 miles west from Park City. Mountain Dell is about eight degrees cooler in the summer than the Salt Lake Valley. Players on the Canyon Course in the morning or early evening may see deer, elk, moose, eagles, hawks, badgers, squirrels, and an occasional cougar. The Canyon course stretches up the eastern mountain from the clubhouse about four miles before looping back, so motorized golf cars are recommended.
Considered by many to be the most beautiful public golf course in Salt Lake City, Mountain Dell is nestled in Parley's Canyon. It offers two challenging 18-hole courses, the Lake Course and the Canyon Course, both of which traverse mountainous terrain.
