Resorts West CEO Joseph Ballstaedt selected third-generation carpenter Jeff Hill of Midway Construction Company to build the Dream Home based on his respected resume of high-end homes in Park City and a deep-rooted mutual respect between Ballstaedt and Hill, tracing back to high school.
As a Utah native with an appreciation for the luxury mountain lifestyle, Hill approached the project with a deep enthusiasm for the Dream Home’s recreation focus and the chance to bring Resorts West’s cutting-edge ideas to life.
“This home allows us to do things we’ve never done before,” Hill told SKI Magazine in a 2007 interview, “like building a DJ booth in the Great Room or constructing an inside/outside bar.”
